Alliance Global Kidz (AGK)

Alliance Global Kidz (AGK) is a unique and stand-alone Early Childhood Education Centre in the National Capital Region of India. At AGK, we put into practice all the learning principles and processes that are considered ideal and relevant in the contemporary global world. The educational policy of the school is to promote learning in five major skill areas: literacy, numeracy, reasoning ability, physical skills and social skills. We try to foster a work ethic whereby all children are encouraged to develop self motivation and academic interests. At the same time they are encouraged to appreciate their responsibilities to others, especially those less fortunate than themselves. In order to achieve these aims and to provide the widest choice of secondary schools, we establish tangible goals for each child and continuously monitor individual progress through assessment of homework and class work, and internal examinations. Parents are considered part of the learning team and are encouraged to discuss their child's progress throughout their time. Children at AGK learn to become independent, explore and discover freely, learn to understand and accept others, learn to think and communicate effectively, develop and sharpen their fine and gross motor controls and love to sing, dance paint, swim and splash in a calm, relaxing and stimulating atmosphere. At AGK our timetable employs the skills based curriculum pioneered with the aim of an early facilitation of those cognitive and social skills which are the basis for academic success in later years. In practice we work with small groups of children to encourage them to develop the fundamental skills of spoken and written communication, reading and number. The child's verbal and physical skills are developed together with the acquisition of factual information and social awareness Our timetable encompasses all six areas of the Foundation Curriculum and extends beyond it with many children reaching their Early Learning goals before starting school. This has been recognized by current parents that their children appeared to be a year ahead of their peers.
