About Welfare Home For Children
Founded in 1979, Welfare Home is managed by professionals and eminent Social Workers in order to strengthen the welfare programmes for children in need of care and protection. The organisation offers services to the deprived children with socio economic and psychological problems through non-instututional and community bases programmes such as Sponsorship, Foster care, Counselling and Adoption. In pursuance of the National Policy for Children, the Organisation had set up a foundling Home in the year 1979 for the care, protection, education, welfare and rehabilitation of abandoned/destitute children. Since there are many couples awaiting a child and many children awaiting a home, entire trust of the Organisation has been to secure rehabilitation of the orphan/abandoned juveniles by their placement with suitable families in adoption. Besides this, the Organisation undertakes pre'Counselling of families and grwon up adoptees which forms an integral component of the adoption programme. The organisation has been able to place more than one thousand orphans and abandoned children in adoption with suitable Indian/Foreign families within the framework of the Hon'ble Supreme Court/CARA guidelines.
