Shiv Vani Model Sr. Sec. School, established in 1981, is an English medium, co-educational school providing quality education to its students and is recognized by Govt. of NCT of Delhi vide letter no. 1725/2-23 dated 10/06/1991 & affiliated to CBSE (Affiliation No. 2730166) for All India Secondary & Senior School Certificate Examination. The school has emerged as a pre-eminent institution in Palam & Dwarka in the South-West part of N.C.T. of Delhi setting newer & higher standards of excellence in all fields-be it academics, sports, athletics, fine arts, music, dance or community service. Shiv Vani is run by a registered society - Shiv Vani Educational Society. Its members comprise of eminent educationists of Delhi. Overcoming the teething troubles of the early years, the two stalwarts, Chairman Sh. B.D. Narula and the Founder Principal Smt. Sneh Narula, nurtured the institution with tireless efforts and dedication, aided and supported by the zealous commitment of the faculty. The Principal, staff and the students have made Shiv Vani proud by winning numerous accolades and laurels. Founder Principal and Manager Smt. Sneh Narula was an educationist of over forty years experience. Under her able guidance and loving care, the young sapling of Shiv Vani has bloomed into a citadel of learning which offers the best in terms of education and schooling. The school students had the honour to participate in the cultural pageant to mark Republic Day Celebrations at Rajpath in 1999, where we presented the item `Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam`, which means that the whole world is one family. For the beautifully choreographed and synchronized dance movements, the superbly relevant theme and deeply meaningful lyrics, the program won the First Prize among all the items. The school also participated at the republic day parade in January 2000 & performed the cultural programme `Nav Chetna`. Scholars of Shiv Vani have done the school proud by participating and winning in various Inter-school and Zonal, Distt., State, National and International competitions. The school successfully organized the 38th youth parliament and won a meritorious position among the Delhi schools. 2011 was a landmark year in the school's history as we completed three decades of excellence."Sojourn",our spectacular Annual Day held at the Talkatora Stadium was a celebration of the school?s thirty year jubilee.In the same year, the school organized the prestigious CBSE North I Zone Judo Championship which was a huge success. The most promising venture was the Student-Exchange Program that our school initiated with St.John?s Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg, Canada. As we aim to nurture students with a global mindset, broaden their horizon and develop cross cultural understanding, this venture promises to be a mutually enriching experience for students of both the schools in Canada and in India.
