Ramjas Public School

Late Rai Kedar Nath Ji, Founder of Ramjas Institutions, was born on 17th January, 1859. Despite constraints of poverty, he pursued his studies with great devotion, dedication and distinction and rose to the position of a Session judge. He was a man of a keen intellect and had in him a rare combination of sterling qualities like simplicity, compassion, sacrifice, fortitude, strong will and irrepressible zeal. He was in real sense a true “Karma Yogi”. The attainment of his high life mission, by way of establishing, organizing and administering schools, is a clear mirror of his dedicated spirit of service and untiring hard work. He was a beacon of light and left no stone unturned to dispel darkness of ignorance prevailing in the society. He resigned from the post of Session judge and made a significant, mark in the annals of history by devoting himself to serve the cause of education. He established temples of learning. The Ramjas Schools to set a new awakening and perpetuate the sacred memory of his dear father, Late Lala Ramjas Mal. His ceaseless work since 1912 bore fruits with the Ramjas Team expanding to include 16 schools, one Day-Boarding School, one Post-Graduate Ramjas College and Ramjas Sports & Mountaineering Institute, with a fraternity of about 15,000 students and staff. For Delhi, he was, in fact, no way less than Pt. Madanmohan Malviya in his matchless service to work, for propagation of education. Rai Kedar Nath Ji’s saintly personality was a centre of attention for one and all. His glowing example of altruistic social service and pursuit of his ideals had a deep impact on his countless social co-workers. The spirit of his great noble soul will forever continue to guide us all in our ceaseless Endeavour's in the pursuit of truth, knowledge and wisdom. The Ramjas Foundation fervently rededicates itself to his lofty ideals and pledges to stand committed to work for the cause of education - the education that includes an all round development of the child, the training of the intellect and also the refinement of the heart and the discipline of the spirit to become a balanced citizen to serve the country, to the best of one’s ability.
