About Happy Senior School
It all started in Delhi, Basti Harphool Singh, Paharganj May 1st, 1948, when a small nursery and kindergarten was started in the home of Late Shri Ram Saran Das Ghai, Ex Head Master DAV school, Lahore, Pakistan and an avid freedom fighter. When planning to open his own school in Delhi, he struck on the name ‘ Happy Senior School’, as he wanted to create not just a structure of learning but a learning environment in which his students could blossom with beaming thoughts . The school was born soon after India attained her independence. He always believed that “Any person can transform a child into a scholar but it takes a real teacher to transform a student into a human.” It was in this context that Hind Public School took shape and burst upon the educational scenario with vibrancy and freshness, dovetailing much of the ethos and culture of the new India, into its education programmes and philosophy Happy Senior School attracted the local community from the very start and it grew rapidly. In the year 1967, the school had to be shifted to Kirti Nagar due to lack of space at Basti Harfur Singh. Under the able guidance of Late Shri Ram Saran Das Ghai, his son Late Shri Jatinder Kumar Ghai with a Masters degree in Education and business administration joined the institution in the year 1973. A true visionary in his own right, his laborious endeavors made Happy Senior School, an educational land mark of Delhi.
