Hans Raj Smarak Sr. Sec. School, Dilshad Garden and Hans Raj Smarak Middle School Krishna Nagar, both are governed / organized by Hans Raj Smarak society, which was formed on 20 April 1966 and its main aim is to provide education to the children. The registered office of the society is at J - 5/2 Krishna Nagar, Delhi. The foundation stone of the Hans Raj Smarak Middle School Krishna Nagar was laid in 1968 by the Hans Raj Society. Quality education is the utmost aim. Recognition was given to the school by Delhi Municipal Corporation in the year 1984. To cater the needs of high quality education, space of Krishna Nagar school was not enough, therefore, after the continuous efforts of the society, a plot of 4000 sq.m. was allotted by D.D.A in Dilshad garden in the year 1995. In 1996, construction of new building was started in Dilshad garden. Today, a prestigious Sr. sec. School is run by the society in which there are about 1971 students studying in classes Nur to XII and along with that there are 500 students in Krishna Nagar school . Krishna Nagar school is from class Nur to VIII and 21 teachers who are serving for the school , are trained and qualified. Hans Raj Smarak Sr. Sec. School, Dilshad Garden got recognition upto class X in 1997 and was extended for class XII in the year 2001. Due to the hard work of teachers , result of board classes is 100% from the last 10 years. School also lays emphasis on moral and personality development of a child so that he / she can be a good citizen. School library is totally computerized which provide educational books as well as audio - visual aid and CDs. There are 32 computers in Computer Lab having ultramodern softwares like Visual Basic, Oracle and C++. Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Labs are also well equipped and practical training is imparted to the students. Along with the cognitive development, school also pays attention to physical development and for this a sprawling playground has been constructed in the school premises and students are given coaching for Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Cricket and karate etc. and are trained for State/National level. Other than this, indoor games like Table tennis, Carom and Badminton are also practiced by the students and are given training for the same. School has arranged coaches for different games to train the students, before and after the school timings. School's important issue like fee structure is taken in consultation with the P.T. A . House System is also implemented in the school . Hidden talents of the students are brushed up by the formation of houses. Duties of House Masters are appreciable in this regard.
