Four Steps

Four Steps is a single window, multidimensional, psycho educational, academic, therapeutic and multidisciplinary center. The center aims to serve as an apex body with specific emphasis on education, training and research in the field of Intellectual Impairment. The beneficiaries at Four Steps are individuals with: Intellectual Impairment Learning Disabilities Slow Learners Down's Syndrome Autism Spectrum Disorder Neurological Disorder Behavior Disorder Emotional Disorder Multiple Disability Early Childhood Developmental Disabilities Hyperactive Disorder Total rehabilitation and integration for individuals with special needs, is a mission of Four Steps. The ultimate aim of Rehabilitation is to develop optimum personality potential and functions of the individual through treatment and training, and lead to as independent lifestyle as possible. Depending upon the individual abilities and interests, pre vocational training is given to prepare the child to enter the world of meaningful occupation. Four Steps provides space for developing individual personality carried out in three situations: Classroom, Community and in Workshop situations, using strengths like Montessori Teaching, Individualized Assessment, Individualized Program Planning, Curriculum based Assessment and Planning, Individualized Service Delivery Designs, Individualized Evaluation, Multidisciplinary Intervention, Highly Skilled RCI Registered Professionals' Services, 1:1 Therapeutic/Remedial Intervention etc. Early Intervention Services (EIS), Special School, Pre Vocational Center and Vocational Center are the focal centers of activities. The individual specific customized curriculum offers daily living skills, personal skills, social skills and occupational competences and vocational survival skills. The Vocational Wing of Four Steps is fast gaining appreciative expertise in producing Bakery Products, Candles & Diyas, Paper & Craft Products, Stain Glass and Lifestyle Products. It is also giving individualized training for: Home Management & Cooking Teacher's Assistant Receptionist and Telephone Operator Office Assistant Photocopying and Lamination Computer Training
