About Saif Tyabji Girls' Pre-primary and Primary School
The Establishment of Anjuman-I-Islam, Bellasis Road is a very Significant Event and an important landmark in the history of the Progress and Development of Muslim Girls Education because it has a unique distinction of being the first Urdu Medium Girls School in Mumbai. The secondary section of the Anjuman Girls School saboo bough was started in the year 1926. (Primary Section) It was only in June’ 1943 when the Primary Section (Co-ed) was started at the new Premises at Saboo Baugh, Bellasis Road. i)Primary Section was opened in the Year 1943. At that time Boys & Girls’ were admitted with the small no. of 15 Students, within a Year number on Roll increased to 150, in the year 1955-56 there were 382 Girls’, the gradual increase in the number of Students both in Primary and Secondary Section necessitated extension of the School by additional Classes & Primary Section was forced to work in Shifts. Now in the Year 2009-2010 there are about 997 Girls’ Students. ii)From the Year 1943 to 1984 Primary Section was combined with Secondary Section. iiiIn the Year 1984 Primary Section was separated from Secondary Section. iv)Primary Section is Aided, Recognized & Registered by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, is receiving Municipal Grant & Pay Scales as per B.M.C. rules since 1986. Separate Head Teacher was Appointed from 01-05-86 for Primary Section. Approval Staff are receiving Salary from B.M.C. directly from Municipal Co-operative Bank since 01-04-95. (Pre-Primary Section) i)Mrs. Bilquis Mohiuddin First Head Teach of Primary Section Started Sr.Kg. Section in the Year 1989 with the 260 Pupils & 4 Part-Time Teachers’. ii)Mrs. Shaikh Nazneen Aezaz, Head Teacher started Jr. Kg. Section in the Year 1998 with 260 Pupils & 4 Part-time Teachers’.Since then there are 4 Divisions in Sr. Kg. & 4 Divisions in Jr.Kg. Having 425 total numbers on roll. iii)Mrs. Habiba A.Razzak, Head Teacher appointed 2 Teacher in one Class, as there are more than 60 Pupils in a Class.
