Kendriya Vidyalaya - KV Bhandup

I (KV Bhandup) came into existence on 26.09.1986 to accommodate the Naval Civilian Wards of NCH Colony. I started my journey in a Residential building NO.145 of the colony under the leadership of Principal R.T. Narwaney with two Primary teachers &one music teacher handling Classes I to V. Due to the increased demand permission was given by Navy to conduct the classes in barracks and afterwards a new building with 12 rooms was constructed. The foundation for this building was laid by Vice Admiral J.N. Sukul (The first Chairman of VMC) on 7th April 1988. The school strength was 52 & staff strength was 07. The classes started in its new building in the year 1989. The first floor was constructed in June 1990 & the first batch of class X passed out in 1992 with flying colors. The building was expanded by additional 40 rooms for the Secondary section with all the required infrastructure for laboratories, library and activity hall. It was inaugurated on 4th May 1994 by MsSelaja Dy. Minister HRD Govt. of India. The first batch of XII Science passed out in 1995. To keep the pace of development in Modern technology, a well equipped computer lab established in the Vidyalaya this was inaugurated by Rear Adm. P. Jetley (Chairman VMC) on 26th January 2001. Commerce and humanities stream started in the year 2009-2010 for which additional 4 rooms were constructed in the Vidyalaya Premises.
