Atomic Energy Central School - 5, New Mandala, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai-94 was inaugurated by Dr. R. Chidambaram, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy on 31-10-1996 and marked its debut with Primary Section (Classes I to III) with a strength of 295 students and 12 teachers. Located in the eastern most side of Anushaktinagar Colony, AECS - 5 has become synonymous with ‘Oasis of enlightenment’. A journey for achievements trundled so fast that the school started projecting the wisdom of personal transformation of the students and was in the shortlist of the achievers.
