Army Public School, Mumbai was established in 1984 under the aegis of AWES (Army Welfare Education Society, New Delhi), primarily for imparting quality education to the children of Defence Personnel at an affordable cost. However, provision for admission to Civilians also exists. The School is located near R.C. Church Colaba, opposite INHS Asvini Hospital and is spread over three acres of land with a well maintained campus. This is probably the only School in South Mumbai where classrooms are situated in the midst of nature. The Administrative Block, which is located in a beautiful heritage building, houses the School office, a state of the Art Computer Laboratory, a Sophisticated Audio-Visual Room, an Auditorium, a Library and an Art & Craft Laboratory. TheSchool has threewell-equipped science laboratories which undergo a constant process of upgradation. The School also enjoys the facility of one of the largest sports grounds in Mumbai. The School will have a new building with thw latest equipment under the mega Works projectof Army HQ Delhi.
