About Amar Kor Vidyalaya
Lal Bahadur Shastri Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established on 5th April, 1981(GUDHI PADWA) by a group of like-minded, progressive people who were and today are associated with educational activities. And they had a strong desire to spread it rapidly in the society. An educational trust was formed and registered on 16th July 1981. The primary school has been recognized by the B.M.C from 1981 and the Govt. of Maharashtra has recognized the secondary school from 1982. The school committee started " Amar Kor Vidyalaya in Bhandup " , which is one of the poorest suburbs of Mumbai and has been declared as slum area by the Govt. of Maharashtra. This school is located at Pratap Nagar area, surrounded by Jamil Nagar, Farid Nagar, and Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar, Phule Nagar, Hanuman Nagar, Pathan Colony, Kamble compound, Hanuman Tekdi and other such slums.
