About Modern High School
Modern High School was founded by B. M. Birla on January 3, 1952. The foundation stone of the school was laid by the then Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. B. C. Roy on December 9, 1957. Modern High School created history in 1968, when Malabika Chakravarty – a humanities student, broke all records and stood first among all the groups in the Higher Secondary Examinations.
