About Pallavan School
Pallavan is a primary years programme for children aged 1.5 to 10 years. It is managed by the Usha Nath Kapur foundation, which is a family foundation of Mr Arun Kapur. Arun Kapur is presently Director of Vasant Valley School Delhi, which is run by the India Today Group. He has over 35 years of experience in the field of education - The Doon School Dehradun, British School New Delhi and Vasant Valley School New Delhi. He was responsible for setting up Vasant Valley School and is currently the Director.He is also the Head of Ritinjali which is an NGO which he set up for education and community development in 1995. He is the author of Transforming Schools: Empowering Children, a book that offers insights to ‘what makes a great school’. In Dec 2001 he established Pallavan, an early childhood development programme for children between the ages of 1.5 and 5 years. In 2006, he established Pallavanjali, a school and resource centre offering education, therapy and life training to children and young adults with special needs between 0-24 years, in an inclusive holistic environment. Ms Renu Kaul is the director. She has over 30 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. She has been responsible for setting up and running the Pallavan programme since it's inception. Pallavan has been a very successful programme and has made a name for itself in Gurgaon and in Delhi. One of the reasons for this is the fact that it is backed by people who have many years of experience in the field of education and is thus a well thought out and professionally run programme. Pallavan started in Dec 2001 and is currently operating from three locations in Delhi and Gurgaon.
