B & K Montessori Experience

Dr.Maria Montessori said, “Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.” As Montessorians we believe that we are guides to our children and have thus created a loving and stable environment for them to be able to create a foundation to excel in every phase of their life. One cold winter night in Toronto in 2010 the seeds were sown for opening MONTESSORI SCHOOLS in India. Armed with passion for teaching, coupled with 20 years of teaching experience Barkha got her NAMC Certification of a Montessori teacher in 2011. By mid-September 2011 the decision was formalized to open the first North American Montessori School in Juhu, Mumbai. The expedition began in finding the right location & neighbourhood for our first school- “The Learning Experience”. Our explorations lead us to opening our first location in Juhu at Wings House. This started the imparting of knowledge in a true Montessori way to the 8 children we had by the end of our first year. It was a true Learning Experience for us as we had to create the awareness of what Montessori really is. Within 2 years we moved from Wings House to Navratan Apartments, our current location. Navratan apartments happens to be in the true sense a neighbourhood location and we are the local school offering Play School, Nursery, Jr. & Sr. KG (Kindergarten) currently. In 2015, the school’s name was changed to what is today known as “B&K Montessori Experience” The growth & our vision of creating “Better Citizens of the World “has lead us to opening our 2nd school in DLF PHASE 2, Gurgaon, Haryana. To stay aligned to our vision and our endeavours of educating the children the Montessori way, we will be opening Classes I through IV in 2017 in Juhu, Mumbai. This growth of classes from I through IV is going to grow further in a few years bringing V to VIII classrooms under the B&K Montessori Experience brand name. B&K Montessori Experience has been founded from the core with the vision to create a new generation of individuals who are happy, positive, loving and peaceful. Our Vision .... It is our sincere endeavor to nurture each child in developing an enquiring mind and realize his or hers unique abilities and skills to their full potential in an aesthetically appealing, pleasing and intellectually stimulating school environment.
