Cl degrade ozone and releases molecular oxygen. (iii) Cl atoms act only as catalysts, the CFCs have a permanent damaging effect on ozone.
Refrigerants are considered to be a necessity in modem living, but are said to be responsible for ozone holes detected in Antarctica. Justify.
