JEE Mains formarly know as AIEEE is conducted once a year by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to select the brilliant students for Engineering and Architecture courses such as, B. E. / B. Tech and B. Arch / B. Planning available in various NITs and other colleges.
You can well prepare for JEE Mains without going to coaching classes. Some of the useful points to prepare for JEE Main are given below.
At first you should read your text book very sincerely. Final exam time can often be stressful and nerve wracking. While some stress can actually be a positive motivator, being too nervous or tense can be problematic, especially if it interferes with your test taking performance.
What about studying?
Here's the secret:
Students picked up 20% of the topic from the lectures, another 20% from theory books and rest 60% of the learning comes solely by solving a large number of problems!.
If you plan to study on your own, you need to make sure you have taken care of all of the below.
- Set your daily Time Limit for Self Study.
- Cover the entire syllabus, giving special focus on Important Topics such as Electrodynamics, Optics, Algebra, Basic Organic Chemistry.
- Put equal weightage on each of three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
- Read NCERT books before going to High Level Books to clarify your doubts.
- Solve more and more previous year question papers.
- Revise those topics more in which you feel comfortable.
- Keep motivated - meet friends who are serious too and share your progress and problems faced.
- Find good teachers who can help. You might find even online help for doubt clearance.
- Join any good Test series - a national test series like Brilliant tutorials or Resonance. This will tell you in advance if you are failing. You may opt for online test series also.
- Find right theory books.

The online tests of the Big Brands from Kota are just that - Big brands. They give test series, but won’t be enough for practice.
